Nach DL Rohling, Brenner kapput ?

Ich habe leider ein kleines (wenn auch komisches) Problem.

Folgender Sachverhalt:

Vorweg, ich besitzte das Sony Vaio VGN-FS315M mit einem Matshita DVD-Brenner. Laut Herstellerangaben kann dieser ohne Probleme die Formate DVD-R/+R, DVD-RW/+RW und DVD-DL/+DL beschreiben. Mit den normalen + und - Rohlinge hat es bisher immer problemlos funktioniert. Als ich aber vor ein paar Tagen selber eine DVD erstellt habe, die ca. 8 GB groß ist, mußte ich zum ersten mal auf einen Double-Layer Rohling zurückgreifen. Ich habe mich dabei für einen Rohling (DVD+R) der Marke Internso entschieden, da die normalen DVD-Rohlinge des Herstellers immer einwandfrei funktioniert haben. Leider klappt das brennen nicht. Oder ist es ein Fehler, wenn ich die ganzen VOB, IFO usw. als DVD-Video brennen will ? Die LOG sagt dazu sicherlich mehr, denn ich kann damit nicht wirklich etwas anfangen. Aber das ist eher das kleinere Problem. Wichtiger wird es erst weiter unten :p

Als ich dann aber wieder eine normale DVD brennen wollte, trifft mich der Schlag :)

Es wird kein Rohling des Types -R oder -RW erkannt, egal ob leer oder voll. Habe auch schon mehrere Hersteller getestet, aber immer mit dem selben Ergebnis. Rohlinge des Typ`s +R funktionieren dagegen ohne Probleme.

Die Frage ist nun, woran liegt das ? Ich habe doch nicht etwa mit dem Double-Layer Rohling das Laufwerk beschädigt ?

Firmware habe ich die aktuellste, die Sony bereitstellt, sprich die 1.03
