Screen or inverter problem - Blackscreen after 2 seconds of active screen

Hey,
I have an issue with my "old" GS2-B1 Laptop from Asus that I bought about 4 years ago.
The Screen is malfunctioning. It turnes black right after showing the image for about 2 seconds. When pressing "FN" + "F7" which is supposed to turn on the screen or deactivate it: It will show the screen and then turn black again in around 2 seconds.

In those 2 seconds, there is a noise comming from the lower left corner of the screen. A high-pitched noise.

An external screen is still working! So i can asure you that it isn't the gpu. I was wondering if it was caused by the inverter or the screen, which will I have to replace? Are more details needed to help me out? Let me know!

Well, first of all, welcome to this forum !

I think it's definitely a problem from the inverter !
'Cause if it's the screen itself, then you should never see an image...;)

( An other option: Problem with the cable between mainboard and screen )
